Kristin’s love for nature has taken her on an exciting journey. She graduated with a BA in Political Science and German from Marquette University, hoping to pursue an international career. But her love for skiing led her to the beautiful slopes of Crested Butte.
Crested Butte to Boulder, CO
While in Crested Butte, Kristin volunteered to lead wildflower mountain bike tours, sharing her knowledge of native plants and immersing herself in the outdoors. She later became a master gardener in Boulder and worked as a maintenance manager tending to clients’ landscapes. Her passion for transforming outdoor spaces drove her to study landscape design where she has honed her craft for the last 20 years.
In 2016, she initiated a volunteer project to renovate Eagle Crest Elementary School‘s playground.She led, organized, and executed a three-year plan to rejuvenate and add more natural playscape elements on the entire north campus. Additionally, she served as Treasurer for the Association of Landscape Designers Colorado Chapter from 2016 to 2019.
